Trent Scholl is a Partner and Risk Advisor at Elim, bringing a deeply relational, values-driven approach to risk management. Since joining Elim in February 2025, Trent has focused on serving clients as a trusted advisor, partnering with them to protect what matters most in both business and life.

At the core of Trent’s work is a belief that effective risk advisement is never transactional. He takes a highly personal approach, viewing each client relationship as a partnership built on trust, transparency, and long-term alignment. His role centers on helping clients identify risks, anticipate challenges, and make informed decisions with confidence knowing they have an advocate walking alongside them.

Trent’s guiding philosophy is simple: the strongest outcomes come from meaningful relationships. By investing in understanding his clients’ goals, values, and unique exposures, he helps create risk strategies that support not just today’s needs, but the future they’re building.

Outside of his professional role, Trent is deeply rooted in faith and family. He enjoys traveling and spending time with the people who matter most to him. He is married to his wife, Kary, and together they are raising five children, a role he considers one of his greatest joys and responsibilities.

Trent is also actively involved in community leadership and service. He serves on the Board of Directors for Midwest Food Bank and is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Backlund Investment Co., Better Banks, and State Street Banks, reflecting his ongoing commitment to stewardship, service, and community impact.
